Deeds & Dice (deedsdice.com) is an independent fan archive of board game editions, run by an individual collector in Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as possible.
What we collect
When you browse the site, we do not ask for any personal information. We do not use advertising networks, tracking or analytics tools.
When you use the “Suggest an edition” form, we collect what you choose to send:
- your name and email address;
- the details you provide about the edition (name, year, publisher, country, barcode, description);
- any photo links you include, and whether you own the edition.
Why we collect it
We use this information only to:
- review your suggestion and add or correct an edition in the archive;
- reply to you if we have a question or want to thank you.
We never sell, rent or share your information for marketing, and we will not add you to a mailing list.
How it is handled
- The form sends your submission by email to our inbox. Submissions are not stored in the website’s database.
- Emails from the site are delivered through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), and our inbox is hosted by Microsoft 365.
- The website is hosted by Bluehost (United States).
Because of these providers, your information may be processed or stored outside Quebec, including in the United States, the European Union and elsewhere in Canada. We use these reputable services because they apply recognized security measures to protect the information they handle.
How long we keep it
We keep suggestion emails only as long as needed to review them and follow up, and no longer than two years. Edition details you sent may stay in the archive, but your name and email are never published.
Cookies
The site uses only cookies that are needed for it to work:
- pll_language: remembers whether you chose English or French.
- WordPress cookies: set only for the site administrator when logged in.
No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Affiliate links (eBay)
Edition pages include a “Find it on eBay” button. These are affiliate links: Deeds & Dice is a member of the eBay Partner Network and may earn a commission if you buy something on eBay after clicking, at no extra cost to you. Clicking the button takes you to eBay, which may collect information and set cookies under its own privacy policy. We don’t send eBay any personal information about you; the link only identifies our site and the edition you were viewing. If you prefer, you can search eBay directly instead of using the button.
Your rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, contact us at the address below. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
Children
The site is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you are under 14, please ask a parent or guardian before using the form.
